    And that's the 13th & 14th Ka B band CONUS tp...
First, thanks for the correction of the "13th and 14th" tps.

Keep forgetting about tp. frequency co-location for the Ka and RB ...

But I checked T15's FCC filings and it is listed as operating on the 29.25-29.29/18.55-18.59 GHz bands.

From T16's operational slot of 102.7°W, the 17.3-17.7 GHz Reverse Band near the top of the document is wrongly listed as "Earth-to-space" when it should be "space-to-Earth."

And in the comparative satellite chart later on in the document, "T15" is wrongly listed as not capable of receiving the uplink band of 29.25-29.29 GHz (or the 14th Ka B-band CONUS tp.) which downlinks to 18.55-18.59 GHz.
In the application for T16, in the Narrative document, this table appears on page 23. At 103, the Earth to Space allocation at 17.3-17.7 GHz is footnoted to be used as a telemetry channel. They are using the Ku band payload for TT&C functions.

HoTat2, you are correct that the 29.25-29.29 Ghz entry in footnote 8 of the T16 grant seems to be a transcription error for the T15 licensed frequencies. But the net effect, according to the grant document, is that T16 must use 29.25-29.29 uplink and 18.55-18.59 downlink, before both D10 and D12 are retired, without regard to T15. That is of no consequence.

I hope there is a channel designated to view the launch. A days notice of this would be nice too.

Directv hasn't publicized this launch at all, unlike previous ones, so that doesn't seem likely. I think Arianespace streams all their launches so you can probably watch it if you really want... They posted a pic here:

I was in the middle of my commute home for the launch. A replay can be found here: Arianespace Flight VA248 - T-16 / EUTELSAT 7C (EN) - YouTube

There was talk of the satellite having electric station keeping thrusters. Does that mean it will have a much longer life than the current fleet?
