This is the first thing that has been available in 4K that would even make me think about the upgrade and it's not even for us...

Also what is a "Streaming player?" - like the app or the input on my TV? This streaming stuff is very confusing and convoluted.

Those are the boxes and phones that will handle the Fubo app and display 4K. One of those Roku's, for example, is needed to use their app and is also capable of displaying 4K assuming you have a 4K capable TV.

What isn't listed are smart 4K TV's that you can install Fubo's app on. They will show likely 4K as well.

The Fubo app is available on my Sony XBR-55X900F via Google Play Store. First seven days are free, then $54.99 a month.

    $54.99 a MONTH ?
Wow .... bet they don't get much business after the first 7 days.

I would imagine I too can get it thru my Sony A8 OLED, but seeing that price point, I'll skip it.
    Sony 65-XBR-AF8 OLED, 42" Pioneer Elite (2), Directv HR54-700, C61k-700, HR24's

    ejb,

The real key here is that Fox is actually doing the Thursday Night games in 4K. The odds of Directv ( and others too ) carrying those games in 4K just shot up dramatically.

I'm sure Directv will carry them, they have carried all the other 4K sports Fox has done. They probably will wait to make any statement about it until closer to the season. Most people aren't thinking about football quite yet.

There are only six or seven weeks until that first Thursday 4K broadcast.
Would seem prudent to give folks time to upgrade, or change providers.

If don’t have 4K equipment yet, the soccer and baseball games were streamed in 4K on the Fox Sports app, I’m guessing the football games will be as well. Not sure how good streaming is compared to the D* feed.

FOX will have to force stations to lift the blackout. I'm not sure they will do that willingly. Local ads will be higher and this is probably close to the highest #s FOX will see every week.

Otherwise it will be in 4k on DTV and you won't be able to watch it unless you happen to have an O&O station.
