That's typical with all providers. First they give them the molasses to lure them in, then after they're hooked they feed them the sulfur.

Sounds like there's even less incentive now to dump cable for a la carte internet, phone and streaming TV. After 5 years with Optimum, I'm only up to $112 (includes taxes and fees) for my triple-play. My programming package includes Starz and Encore, 200 Mbps internet and VOIP phone.
