    iHeart moved to 799

Channel 9811 *DTV is a Music Choice app test, which will probably end up on 800. (Bandwidth wise, this is the former location of the Santa Tracker)

Channel 9355 *DTV is a test for "Entertainment Extras" with a description of "The Entertainment Extras TV app gives you access to thousands of Internet videos and clips to make watching your favorite movies and shows more entertaining. Its now included with your DIRECTV services at no additional cost." Don't read too much into that channel number, it has nothing to do with CNBC, it's just a random number they put it on, most likely because the 9xxx version of the final channel number is already taken by some other internal test.

The new D11 potential moves are using the space that was vacated when channels like Audience, HBO and some others moved to D14.

They also did some minor shuffling for Puerto Rico in the past few weeks involving Univision Puerto Rico and Telemundo Puerto Rico moving from D15 to the D14 spotbeam transponder, it's possible they went HD too, but there's no way to tell for sure unless they change the label down the road or we can get in touch with someone on Puerto Rico who can confirm. (And sadly, that's still going to be hard to do)

The Latin American satellite Transponder Tables were also updated, with the last information we have from Latin America, in February. Minor changes to FEC values.

Relooked at DATA on 6/14 and this AM.
The 8 channels in *TEST for D11 were activated on 6/14, nothing new today.

This means 1 TPN (6 channels) and 2 channels on another TPN on D14 were cleared and moved to D11.
These are channels apparently not redirected to Puerto Rico.
So now 8 channel slots are available to be placed on D14 for US AND PR broadcast.
Will await further updates to see what this really means

Weekly Analysis of the 6/20/2018 Domestic Data

    Some interesting anomalies this week

Test channel *WAPA (a Puerto Rico Local) shows up as a National Test record because it is on a NAT+PR TPN that 'could' provide that channel Domestically and to PR both. That should resolve when it goes live as a PR-only channel.

There are a half dozen PR channels shown as provided by SW1. These were all Slate channels from SW1; these defunct records need to be removed.

There are also instances of SW1 showing up in the NOTES_0 field for some local channels. These are entries that need to be cleaned up.

Three channels, (IHT/799, MCTV/800 and DTV/1117) are shown as SD channels although they in fact provide an HD display. The reason: based on requests from long ago, I group the HD and the SD channels separately. These are all static or Slate displays and showing them as SD channels keeps them grouped with the other channels they are associated with.

So has everything moved off of SW1 now, and it is just some defunct records / NOTES_0 cleanup that refers to it? If so, I would think we'll see a filing soon to have it move to 139W or wherever it was going for its new Alaska mission.

*WAPA is the HD feed for the local Puerto Rican channel, it's different from the national WAPA America channel where they show random filler instead of the Spanish dubs of movies and shows like Grey's Anatomy.

The *WAPA HD test is on the same 99S transponder that WKAQ/Telemundo (TMDO) and WLII/Univision (UNPR) recently moved to. Which provides some evidence that they got an upgrade to HD with the move to this transponder.

    Kyle,

I believe you are right; the remaps of TMDO and UNPR make sense if they were being upgraded to HD. Beginning with our next TPN Map, I will show TMDO and UNPR as HD channels. I understand this is a guess - but it is our best, most logical guess. We dearly miss our colleague in Puerto Rico who we lost nearly four years ago.
